If you do NOTHING else this weekend, if you're a total anti-4th-of-July-and-fireworks type, and you hate every other event I have suggested to you thus far, try not to miss this one. This Sunday, July 6th, Seun Kuti (son of musical genius, Fela Kuti) will be playing alongside Afrika Bambaataa & Love Trio w/U-Roy at Central Park SummerStage. You've got the percussion, funk, soul, and electro-jazz...what the hell else could you possibly want. On top of all this musical goodness, the event is FREE! So get those beach mats and fold out chairs ready because this is going to be an event for the people! Don't miss it!
