Without ASSUMING that you all know anything about South American politics or international politics at all, for that matter, allow me to introduce the MOTHER..F&*$ING MAN: Enrique Penalosa, also known as, the former "sidewalk" mayor of Bogota, Colombia. Browsing through the NYT Magazine this past week lead me to this little-breath-of-fresh-air article about a man I'd like to think can influence other scrotum-less politicians around the world. The interview is only a page long and it left me feeling hopeFUL...AAAHHH...DEEP SIGH! Ivy League educated here in the states, he still has a tinge of Socialist mentality, although he openly admits that Socialism would never work this day in age. If you get a chance, stop re-arranging your MySpace Top 10 and read something meaningful. :-)
